2008/09 Teacher Trainer License Renewal Application

I have read and agree to comply with the following new Aquarian Trainer Academy policies:
Level Two Teacher Certification Requirement for Level One Trainers
  • Beginning January 1, 2011, all Level One Lead and Professional Trainers must be fully Level Two certified.

CEU Requirements for all Level One and Level Two Trainers
  • Beginning in 2008, all Professional and Lead Trainers in North America and Europe shall be required to attend the annual Trainer Forum before the Summer Solstice or after the European Yoga Festival, a minimum of two of these sessions every three years as part of their Trainer re-licensing process.

Policy for Listing of Trainers in Promotional Materials
The following guidelines apply when listing participating trainers on Level One and Level Two PR pieces:
  • All members of the participating team should be listed. (With the exception of Interns, whose listing is optional.)
  • Their current KRI qualification within the Aquarian Trainer Academy should be listed immediately after their name.
  • The listing on the PR should be done in order of ATA Trainer classification.
  • Any other relevant qualifications may be listed after their KRI trainer status.
  • Photos may be used for all members of trainer team, except Interns.
  • The course organizer's name and photo may be displayed in a separate area.

Code of Ethics compliance requirement for Aquarian Trainer Academy members
  • An applicant to the Aquarian Academy should recognize the importance of having internalized the yogic lifestyle elements (no smoking, no meat, no drugs, no alcohol) and be fully compliant before being accepted as an Intern.
  • Current members will confirm their compliance as part of the annual license renewal process.
  • The Academy will offer assistance to any individual who may need support in changing these lifestyle habits.

TERMS OF AGREEMENT
I agree to the following terms of licensing:
  • I will teach only the Teachings of Yogi Bhajan and Kundalini Yoga that are KRI approved when teaching in KRI Teacher Training programs, and teach Kundalini Yoga kriyas only as given by Yogi Bhajan. I will not teach or add/subtract any material to this program without written permission from KRI.
  • As a trainer, I understand the importance of maintaining a strong personal practice and sadhana.
  • To honor my teacher, I understand and communicate the importance of contributing to Gurudaskshina for Kundalini Yoga Teachers and Trainers and I practice it as an example to my students and trainees.
  • All KRI Teacher Trainers are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with the highest professional standards, including but not limited to, the KRI/IKYTA Code of Ethics and Professional Standards.
  • I am committed to living a yogic lifestyle in accordance with the Code of Ethics: I abstain from alcoholic beverages, tobacco and non-prescription drugs, and eat a vegetarian diet.
  • I have no physical, mental or background behavioral issue that will prevent me from properly performing as a KRI licensed Teacher Trainer; I understand that KRI reserves the right to check my background.
  • KRI retains the right to review my credentials or to request updated information at any time.
  • KRI may revoke my right to use the KRI Teacher Trainer license for cause, including but not limited to, ceasing to meet one or more of the requirements for license or failure to uphold the standards set forth in the Code of Ethics for Kundalini Yoga Teachers.
  • I understand that I must renew my trainer's license by June 30, 2008 or I will be delinquent and no longer qualified to be part of a KRI trainer team; if I apply after the deadline a late fee of $54 will be applied.
  • I understand "Inactive" to mean that I may retain my membership and classification in the Aquarian Trainer Academy for a two-year period even though I am not currently part of a Trainer team. After this two-year period, I will lose my membership and must reapply.
  • I agree to submit a renewal application by electronic means. I understand that my electronic renewal application has the same legal effect and legal consequences as a signed paper document.
  • I affirm that all information I submitted in this application is true, correct, and complete to the best of my knowledge, information, and belief. I understand that any material misrepresentation or any material omissions of fact in this application is grounds for denial, suspension, or revocation of the license(s) that I am seeking.

  • Interns: $0
  • Associates and Specialists: $54.
  • Professionals and Leads: $108
  • Late fee (submitted after June 30, 2008): $54
Inactive: $22
Inactive can only be selected if you will not be participating in any KRI Level One or Two programs in 2008-2009.
